TOPIC: HEAVEN.

BIBLE READING: 21:1-27.

TEXT:Gen 1:1a

INTRODUCTION:

Heaven is religious cosmological or transcendent supernatural place for God and other designates.

• It’s a creation of God -(Genesis 1:1)

“In the beginning God created the heaven and ….”

It’s a firmament -(Genesis 1:8a)

“And God called the firmament Heaven…..”

• Heaven is the inhabitation of God’s throne -(Revelation 22:3)

“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him”

• Heaven is a pleasant place prepared for God, angels and the saints(John 14:2-3)

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also”.

• Heaven is for the overcomers-(Revelation 21:7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

• It’s is made of Gold and prescious stones – (Revelation 21:18-21)

” And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass……”

• Heaven has no temple. The temple there is God and His lamb.And also there is no light there.The light there is the glory of God – (Revelation 21:22-23)

“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof”.

• In heaven, there’s no sorrow,no cry,no pain and God has wipe away all tears -(Revelation 21:4)

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”.

• Heaven is the final destination where saints will stay eternally with Christ- (Revelation 22:5)

“And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever”.

BUT..

* The fearful, unbelievers and the abominables will not enter-(Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”.

* Those that defileth themselves and whosoever worketh inequities shall not enter.

* The unjust, filthy and every unrighteousness shall not be there.-(Revelation 22:11)

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still”.

• Dogs, sorcerers, murderers, idolaters and liers will not enter also-(Revelation 22:15)

“For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie”.

CONCLUSION:

Heaven is real. All the attributes and characteristics expressed here are what all saints who are designates will enjoy forever. Will you want to be left out.
God forbid. Let’s stop living life here on earth as if here is the heaven. No more consciousness of eternal heaven and hell in our approaches to living anymore.

May the grace and consciousness of eternal glory abide in us always in Jesus name.
