BIBLE STUDY.

TOPIC: THE HOLY GHOST.

BIBLE READING:John 16:5-15.

TEXT: Acts 1:8.

INTRODUCTION:

The Holy ghost In other words known as the Holy spirit, is the divine force, quality and influence of God, over the universe or his creatures. -The Holy ghost is the third person of the Trinity.
The Holy Spirit acts as an agent of divine action or communication.
The Holy ghost or Holy spirit is also known and refers to as the Comforter – (John 16:7)
> Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

THE WORK OF THE HOLY GHOST.

1). He represent/glorifying Jesus-(John 16:14)

> He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

2). He is the spirit of truth – (John 16:13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

3). He is a source of divine power (Acts 1:8)

> But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

4). He is reprover of world of sin and of righteousness and of judgement – (John16:8)

> And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.

5). He is enabler to do exploit in the ministry.

6). He is harvester of soul – (Act 2:41)Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

7). He gives revelations, utterance, visions and dreams – (Act 2:17, Joel 2:28)

> And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

8). He delivers – (Act 28:3-6) Paul was delivered from a poisonous snake bite because he was filled with the holy ghost.

9). He is the baptizer– (Act 1:5)
> For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

CONCLUSION:

Every true believer of Christ must have and operate in the Holy Ghost. The apostles never do great work until the holy ghost came upon them. So, yearn, long, thirst and asked for the holy ghost to become a fruitful Christian.

PRAYER:

I pray that the Holy Ghost come upon me like the early christians to do exploit in soul harvesting in Jesus name.
