Try Again

BIBLE STUDY.

TOPIC: TRY AGAIN.

BIBLE READING: Luke 5:2- 5.

TEXT: Job 14:7.

INTRODUCTION:

Many times in our life we make efforts with the hope of getting a desired goal. sometimes, some efforts become fruitless at the end. And when this happened we eventually get discouraged from venturing into it again.

NOTE:
“Failure is a creation of an opportunity to try again.”

In our Bible reading today, we saw Simon Peter’s reaction to Jesus in a very discouraged manner, when Jesus asked him to try again, after failed attempt – (Luke 5:5) And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
This statement unreveled pains from a fruitless efforts being suffered in their fishering adventure.
Just like Peter many are facing enduring situations leading to depression, defeat, agony and have decided to wash their net to quit the venture.- (Luke 5:2)

> And he saw two ship standing by the lake but the fishermen were gone out of them and were washing their net.

BUT BEING THAT ENCOURAGED On our text today in (Job 14:7) says;

> for there is hope for a tree if it be cut down,that it will sprout again and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

However, Peter in obedience to the word of Jesus, tried again and had a great catch after a draught – (Luke 5:6)

> And when they had this done,they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and their net brake.

Moreso, David encouraged himself in the lord and launched attack when his family and his people were carried away by the enemies — (1 Samuel 30:1-20) In v18

> And David recovered all that the A-malek-ites had carried away and David rescued his wives.

CONCLUSION:

To every individual, there is always a time of travailing and a time of prevailing. Don’t succumb to the pressure of failed attempt. As long as there is opportunity to try again, I assured you of prevailing.

PRAYER:
May the grace of Almighty God encourage you in the face of that failed attempt and give you the strength to try again and win in Jesus name.
