The Nigerian gospel film industry is mourning the loss of one of its prominent figures, Moses Korede Are, popularly known as “Baba Gbenro” from the popular Mount Zion series Abattoir.
The actor’s death was announced by his colleague, Oluwaseun Adejumobi, who shared the sad news on his verified Instagram account on Thursday.

Evangelist Moses Korede Are was a devoted servant of God, renowned for his impactful ministry, inspirational writings, and exceptional production skills. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Baba Gbenro, a firebrand minister, in the popular Abattoir movie series.
The news of his passing has sent shockwaves throughout the Christian community, with many taking to social media to express their condolences and celebrate his life.
