Mercy Johnson’s Husband Escapes Assassination Attempt – Edo State Governorship Election

A federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt.

Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked by armed men suspected to be political thugs at his residence in Uromi on Friday morning.

Okojie’s media aide, Michael Ihaza, confirmed the development in a statement.

Mercy Johnson’s Husband – Edo Central Coordinator for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Campaign escaped the attack following quick intervention of police personnel attached to him.

The incident happened at his residence on Friday, a day to Edo State gubernatorial election.

Confirming the incident, Michael Ihaza, his media aide opined via his facebook:

“ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ?

I hope you must have heard of the Assassination attempt on PRINCE life this morning?

Four men with a RIVERS STATE plate number on Lexus 470 who drove into his compound under the disguise of POLICE MEN tried to fire life out of the House Of Representatives member this morning!

Thank God they failed and two apprehended by our GALLANT OFFICERS attached to him and the animals are already making confessions!

Has it gotten to the point of making attempt to Assassinate Prince Odi Okojie?
